UGANDA HAS OVER 2000 SPECIES OF BIRDS
Day 1:
Arrival and are received by our airport services officer and
transfer to Boulevard Hotel/Meridian Court
Hotel/Nairobi Safari Club/Panafric Hotel/Hilton Hotel

Day 2:
Airport transfer after breakfast for flight to Uganda to
check in at Windsor hotel. Afternoon birding in the
botanical gardens and the Heritage Park trail. Expect to
spot Great Black headed Gull, Little ringed Plover, European
turtle dove, Crowned Hornbill, Slender billed Gulls, Angola
Swallow, Rock pratincoles, Diederik Cuckoo and so on.
Overnight at Windsor Lake Victoria on all
meals.
Day 3:
Travel to Murchison Falls National Park
with an afternoon en route bird watching tour to the top of
the falls. Birding through the Budongo Forest and along the
Sambiya Riverine forest Valley introduces you to Silverberg,
Viteline masked weaver, Rock pratincoles, Palm nut Vulture,
Black Kite.
Meals and overnight at Nile Safari Camp.
Day 4:
Morning launch cruise aboard the "shoebill boat" to the
delta area for a half-day bird watching cruise in the
swamps.
Bird species here include the rare shoe billed; saddle
Billed & Abdim's Stork. Also look out for Pied Kingfisher,
Malachite Kingfisher and the African skimmer. Return for
lunch then take an evening drive though the park to arrive
late evening for Dinner and overnight at Nile Safari
Camp.
Day 5:
Morning transfer to Pabidi Forest. Birds
here include the Black collared Lovebird, Brown Illadopsis,
Jameson's Wattle eye, Brown Twin spot and others. Later
after lunch, take another boat cruise to the Delta. Water
birds residing in the rich swamps here include Grey Headed
Kingfisher, Great white egret, African Darter, Spoonbills,
Black crake, and the Lilly trotter.
Meals and overnight at Nile Safari Camp.
Day 6:
Depart for Fort portal arriving late
afternoon for an evening bird walk highlighting the Scaly
Francolin, Black bellied seed cracker, Marsh Tchagra, Narina
Trogons and many more along the edges of the Kibale Forest
National Park.
Meals and overnight at Ndali Lodge.
Day 7:
Breakfast and spend the day in Kibale and
Bigodi swamp which will probably yield spotting of Papyrus
Gonolek, Snowy Robin chat, Grey - capped Robin chat, White
spotted Flufftail..Meals and overnight Ndali Lodge.
Day 8:
Breakfast and leave to Semuliki Game Reserve
with bird watching and boat cruises on Lake Albert. Common
birds here include Black winged oriole, ground thrush,
spot-breasted Ibis, White Throated Blue Swallow, Grant'sBlue
Bill, Dwarf Kingfisher.
Meals and overnight at Semuliki Safari Lodge.
Day 9:
Breakfast and spend the morning and afternoon bird watching.
Overnight at Semuliki Safari Lodge on all
meals.
Day 10:
Breakfast and depart for Queen Elizabeth
arriving for afternoon Kazinga Channel Launch cruise. You
will most likely spot, African Skimmer, White Pelican, White
faced whistling duck, African Fish Eagle, Cormorants and
other birds.
Day 11:
Breakfast and spend the morning bird watching before
returning to the bird hide at Mweya where spotting of birds
will be done in concealment.
Meals and overnight at Mweya Safari Lodge.
Day 12:
Breakfast and leave to Bwindi along the Maramagambo
Forest before Bwindi Impenetrable Park for an
evening bird walk along the Munyaga River. This walk is
recommended for the spotting of Blue fly catcher, Ludher's
bush shrike, Long crested eagle.
Meals and overnight at Bwindi Tented Camp.
Day 13:
Morning take a guided forest walk in the Bwindi Impenetrable
forest for the forest endemics. See, Black rough wing
swallow, McKinnon's Grey Shrike, Great blue turaco and many
other species.
Meals and overnight at Bwindi Tented Camp.
Day 14:
Morning transfer to Kampala and proceed to Entebbe airport
for your departure flight.
