16 DAYS SAFARI TANZANIA ZANZIBAR AND VICTORIA FALLS
Day 1: Arusha
Arrival in nairobi or Kilimanjaro Airport Arusha.OR Arrival
in Nairobi, board public shuttle bus to Arusha via Namanga
border to arrive late evening. Overnight at Arusha McEllys
hotel or similar.
Day 2: Manyara
After breakfast, pick up from your Arusha Hotel and thereafter
depart for Lake Manyara National Park. The park is renowned
for its bird life, which includes flamingos and Egyptian geese as
well as its tree climbing lions. The park is small in size and the
time you spend there will be sufficient to cover the park exhaustively.
Lunch, Dinner and overnight at Lake Manyara hotel.
Day 3: Ngorongoro
After breakfast proceed to Ngorongoro Conservation Area.
Ngorongoro Conservation Area's central feature is the Ngorongoro
Crater, one of the largest intact caldera in the world and one of the
most spectacular sights in Africa. The Olduvai Gorge in the
neighborhood is the site where some of Africa's oldest hominid fossils
were found. The Crater has the most predator population in Africa.
Elephant, lion, zebra, wildebeest and a host of other resident animals
are to be found here. Dinner and overnight at Ngorongoro Sopa
lodge or similar.
Day 4: Serengeti
After breakfast leave for vast Serengeti National Park, Africa's most
popular game reserve. There are an incredible number of animals in this
vast game park. Wildebeest is most popular followed by zebras.
Elephant is notably scarce. Cheetahs and the rest of the big cats
are regularly sighted in the plains. The few remaining endangered
black rhino are restricted at the Moru Koppies area. The park is also
famous for the wild beast migration, often described as the
most impressive spectacle in the world. Arrive in time for lunch.
Afternoon proceed for a game drive. Dinner and overnight at the
Serengeti Sopa lodge/ Ikoma tented camp.

Day 5: Serengeti - Arusha
Very early in the morning, take game drives with spectacular view of the
park before breakfast and after, leave for Arusha, lunch enroute or
packed. Dinner and overnight at Arusha McEllys hotel or similar.
Day 6: Dar es salaam
Breakfast and transfer from Arusha to Dar by air. Dinner and overnight at
hotel Southern Sun/ Coral beach/ Peacock or similar. BB. (3 star)
Day 7: Dar es salaam
Breakfast and spend the day at leisure in Dares salaam. Dinner and
overnight at hotel Southern Sun/ Coral beach/ Peacock or similar. BB. (3 star)
Day 8: Zanzibar
Breakfast and leave for connection ferry from Dar to Zanzibar. Arrival in
Zanzibar and transfer to Mnarani beach hotel/ Tembo hotel on
overnight HB basis.
Day 9: Zanzibar
Breakfast and spend the day at Leisure exploring the beaches. If you're
after a small, intimate and reasonably priced lodge on the quieter flank
of the Nungwi Peninsula, Mnarani Beach Cottages hotel is a great option.
There is a fantastic sandy beach where you can laze about on sun lounges
and develop that long-awaited golden tan. But the beach quality does vary
according to the tides and time of year, so there may be times when you
need to walk a short distance to the western side of the peninsula to find
a better beach to swim. Overnight at Mnarani beach hotel on half
board basis.
Day 10: Zanzibar
Spend the day in Zanzibar relaxing on the beaches. Mtoni beach/
Mnarani beach hotel/ Tembo hotel on overnight HB basis.
Day 11: Zanzibar
Spend the day in Zanzibar relaxing on the beaches. Mtoni beach/
Mnarani beach hotel/ Tembo hotel on overnight HB basis.
Day 12: Zanzibar- SA
Breakfast and transfer to airport for your flight to Nairobi. Connect
another flight from Nairobi airport for an afternoon flight to
Johannesburg city. Transfer to Sandton and check in at Airport
Grand hotel for dinner and overnight or similar.
Day 13:
Early morning transfer to the OR Tambo International Airport for your
flight to Vic Falls, Zimbabwe. On your arrival at Vic Falls Airport a
representative will meet you and transfer you to your hotel.
Embark on a guided tour of the Victoria Falls. This is one of the most
compelling sites in the world, cascading columns of sheer energy
powers its way down a 100m chasm, taking your breath away, as you
gaze in awe mesmerized by its strength and incredible beauty.
As you captivate this famous wonder you will be completely enthralled to
see and feel “The Smoke that Thunders.” In the late afternoon take a Sunset cruise and experience the magical
colors bursting in the sky creating “ natures’ own masterpiece”.
This is
the only way to describe the African Sunset on the Mighty Zambezi.
Cruise along the banks of the river, and view the spectacular
scenery that is nature’s own sanctuary, and home to the “laughing hippos”,
the “singing birds” and the “snapping crocodiles”, as you sip on your drink
and indulge on mouth watering snacks. Enjoy the myths and legends as
our guide shares stories of the local tribes.
Experience the Zambezi
River as David Livingstone did and travel through waters once journeyed
by him on his way to the Victoria Falls. Observe the aquatic bird life and
other resident or migratory species. You may be fortunate enough to
witness the great African elephant swimming. Enjoy dinner and overnight
at Ilala Lodge. B,D
DAY 14:
This morning after breakfast travel to the Gorge to embark on a full day
of adventure. Regarded as the world’s greatest white water adventure,
Rafting down The Mighty Zambezi is an experience to remember forever,
feel
the exhilaration and thrills of some of the biggest rapids in the world!
Or try River boarding – take on the meanest Zambezi rapids with flippers
and a boogie board: just you against the Zambezi.... are you up for it?
Challenge those huge rapids and yourself. Combined with rafting, River
Boarding finds you in the best surfing spots on this magnificent river.
After a wonderful day enjoy dinner at the Boma. This offers a unique
African experience that bombards the senses with the tastes, sights,
sounds and smells of Africa - together with the warmth and ospitality of
Zimbabwe and its people. Overnight at Ilala Lodge. B, D
DAY 15:
Today view wildlife from another level, and ride the wilderness’ very own
4x4. These majestic creatures will take you through the bush and enable
you to see game from another perspective at our very own Victoria Falls
Private Game Reserve. Morning Elephant Interactive Safaris– allow you the
opportunity to ride, learn about and interact with these majestic
creatures, on a 55 – 60 minute Elephant experience. Morning safaris
include breakfast. Later transfer to the Vic Falls Airport for your flight
to Johannesburg. Met on arrival at the OR Tambo International
Airport and transfer to the Airport Grand Hotel. B, D
DAY 16
Early breakfast before check out at 08:00 and transfer to the OR Tambo
International Airport for you flight to Nairobi departing at 11:00.
Included: Transport in luxury vehicles, accommodation on a dinner, bed& breakfast basis throughout at the establishments mentioned (if available
at time of booking). English speaking tour guide on tours and airport
transfers. Entrance fees on the following tours: Guided tour of Vic Falls,
