Day 1: Arrival – Airport Grand Hotel
Arrival in JHB , meet & great and transferred to The Airport Grand for
overnight and dinner. D
Day 2:
Kruger National Park – Kruger Park Lodge (Lodge situated 10mins
from Kruger Nat Park)
06:15 Very early departure from Johannesburg leaving the bustle of the
City behind us as we head towards Mpumalanga. Right in the heart of
Mpumalanga, lies the Kruger National Park.
The park was established in
1889, is more than 2 million hectares and bigger than the countries Wales
or Israel. More than 146 mammal species, 507 bird species and 400
different tree types call this spectacular "Bushveld", home. Upon arrival
at the Park we check into our up market Lodge.
We have time to explore the
Lodge and enjoy lunch (own expense) before we embark on our first
afternoon Game Drive. Our Game Drive vehicles are the perfect vantage
point and will prove to make this an
unforgettable experience. We will
arrive back at the lodge before dark. Dinner is served and we have time to
enjoy the magical sounds of the African night before retiring to our
Lodge. B, D
Day 3: Kruger National Park – Kruger Park Lodge (Lodge situated 10mins
from Kruger Nat Park)
We start at dawn and on this day and do a full day Game Drive to try and
spot as many animals as possible. We will stop several times during the
day to freshen up and have breakfast at the lodge or at
one of the rest
camps along the way.
We also stop at a rest camp where we take time to
have lunch (own expense). We will also visit Skukuza, the main Camp in the
Park where we will have time to visit the fascinating Stevenson Hamilton
Library. We embark on an afternoon Drive to see if we can spot some more
of the magnificent creatures that roam this area.
Our Game Drive vehicles
are radio linked to other vehicles in the Park and therefore we have an
advantage in tracking down the elusive "Big 5". We will return to our
lodge in the late afternoon and have
some time to relax before we enjoy
dinner and talk about everything we experienced on this day. Dinner and

Day 4: Cape Town – the Portswood Hotel
We again start at dawn and do thorough morning drives taking in as much as
possible on this, our last day in the Park. By this time hopefully we have
caught a glimpse of the elusive Leopard. We have a late breakfast and
depart thereafter for our scenic drive towards Johannesburg.
We explore
the Mpumalanga Panorama route, and along the way we visit some
breathtaking views and spectacular scenery. Our first stop is God's
Window, an overwhelmingly beautiful viewpoint with a 1000m-drop into the"Lowveld".
At the Bourke's Luck Potholes, the Blyde (Happy) and the
Treur(Sad) Rivers meet up and form a magnificent display in the Blyde
River Canyon. We stroll back in time, down the historic main street of
Pilgrim's Rest. It takes us back to the days when
dreamers and
desperadoes from around the world converged on this little-known valley in
a hectic scramble for the riches that lay beneath its grassy
hillsides.
After a late lunch (own expense) we return to Johannesburg and
arrive in the late afternoon. Fly to Cape Town. Met on arrival in Cape
Town and transfer to your hotel. Dinner and overnight at the Portswood
Hotel. B, D
Day 5: Cape Town – The Portswood Hotel
08h30 Depart for a Cape Peninsula and Cape of Good Hope Nature
Reserve
Tour along one of South Africa's most beautiful coastlines. Your journey
takes you through Sea Point and Hout Bay via Chapmans Peak Drive and on to
Cape Point where the two oceans meet.
You continue along the coast to the
lovely town of Simonstown where you visit the rare Jackass Penguins at
Boulders Beach.
From Simonstown you travel via Kalk Bay, Fishhoek and
Muizenberg to Kirstenbosch Botanical gardens. Kirstenbosch was established
as a center for the preservation and study of the indigenous flora of
Southern Africa. One can enjoy glorious living displays of wild flowers
and the magnificent collection of cicadas, silver trees and other shrubs,
plants and trees. Return to your hotel at approximately 17h00. Dinner and
overnight at the Portswood Hotel. B, D
Day 6: Johannesburg – The Airport Grand
Breakfast, check out and transfer to the airport for flight to
Johannesburg. Arrival are picked up by our representative and driven to
The Airport Grand.

Day 7
Breakfast and transfer to airport for a flight to Nairobi or Kilimanjaro
departing at 11:00. Arrival and check in at Arusha Tourist Inn/ McEllys or
Nairobi Kipepeo hotel (3***)
Day 8
Breakfast and leave for Arusha by morning public shuttle bus through
Namanga border town where you collect your Tanzania visas. Arrival Arusha
and head to Manyara National Park on packed lunches. Afternoon game
drives.
Birdlife in the park is
very broad. The home of tree-climbing
lion, the park is also home to giraffes, hippo, zebra, and buffalo. Dinner
and overnight at the Manyara hotel or similar.
Day 9
Early morning game drive, breakfast and leave on packed lunches for
Serengeti National Park. There are an incredible number of animals in
this vast game park. Wildebeest is most popular followed by zebras.
Elephant is notably scarce. Cheetahs and the rest of the big cats are
regularly sighted in
the plains.
The few remaining endangered black rhino
are restricted at the Moru Koppies area. The park is also famous for the
wild-beast migration, often described as the most impressive spectacle in
the world. Arrive in time for lunch. Afternoon proceed for a game drive.
Dinner and overnight at the Serengeti Wildlife lodge or similar.
Day 10
After breakfast leave for vast Serengeti National Park on packed lunches,
Africa's most popular game reserve. There are an incredible number of
animals in
this vast game park. Morning and afternoon game drives. Dinner
and overnight at the Serengeti Wildlife lodge.
Day 11
After breakfast proceed to Ngorongoro Conservation Area on packed lunches.
Ngorongoro Conservation Area's central feature is the Ngorongoro Crater,
one of the largest intact caldera in the world and one of the most
spectacular sights in Africa. The Olduvai Gorge in the neighborhood is the
site where some of Africa's oldest hominid fossils were found. The Crater
has the most predator population in Africa. Elephant,
lion, zebra,
wildebeest and a host of other resident animals are to be found here.
Dinner and overnight at the Ngorongoro Wildlife lodge or similar.
Day 12: Tarangire
Drive to Arusha for lunch. Drive across the Maasai Steppe to Tarangire for
overnight and Tarangire Sopa Lodge with all meals.
Day 13
Morning game drives, breakfast and after, leave on packed lunches for
Arusha town in time for dinner and overnight at Arusha Inn/ McEllys hotel
or similar.
Day 14
Breakfast and leave for Nairobi by shuttle bus. Arrive in time for your
Flight home.
