Day 1: Arrival Nairobi
You will be picked up on arrival at the airport and transferred to Nairobi
Kipepeo hotel/ Heron hotel for overnight.
Day 2: Nairobi National park
Breakfast, are picked up and transferred for a day of game drives in
Nairobi Park on packed lunches. Dinner and overnight at
Nairobi campsite/
Heron hotel/ Kipepeo hotel.
Day 3: Masai Ostrich farm
After breakfast, leave for Masai Ostrich farm on the outskirts of Nairobi-
just the perfect excursion on this day. Depart for Kitengela Ostrich farm
by road in time for lunch. Have sumptuous assortment of Ostrich meat and
vegetables after which you will have the opportunity to have Ostrich rides
with a guide. An excursion in the Ostrich farm will climax your Ostrich
tour and leave for Nairobi arriving evening in time for dinner and
overnight at Heron hotel/ Kipepeo hotel for overnight.
Day 4: Mt Kenya Park
Depart after breakfast and drive north to Mt Kenya region. Arrival at
Mountain Rock hotel in time for lunch. After lunch, leave for a tour of Mt
Kenya caves and get to learn the history of freedom fighters and Mt Kenya
region. Dinner and overnight at Naro Moru lodge.
Day 5: Lake Naivasha
After breakfast and after, our safari will be destined for Lake Naivasha,
the only freshwater lake in the Rift Valley, arriving in Naivasha hotel in
time for lunch. The lake is home to a large colony of hippos and it’s also
a haven for bird watchers and researchers since over 400 different species
of birds have been recorded here. The lake’s location and wildlife makes
it an ideal place for an afternoon boat ride $20 extra.
You can also
decide to take walks in the famous Naivasha Gorge or visit to the
liberating Crescent Island at an extra $20, which is completely
undeveloped, wild and free, is one of the few places on earth where you
can walk among herds of zebra, wildebeest, gazelle, giraffe and dik diks.
There are no predators and no fences so it will be quite a liberating and
exciting feeling to walk among the wildlife. Later enjoy your dinner
prepared from the freshest lakeside produce and ingredients. Dinner and
overnight at Panorama lodge or similar.
Day 6: Naivasha- Nakuru- Menengai
Breakfast, are picked up and driven to Nakuru in time for lunch from
Waterbuck hotel. After lunch, leave for Menengai crater, a major volcanic
crater in the East
African Rift. Return back to Nakuru, dinner and
overnight at Merica/ Bontana hotel or similar.
Day 7: Lake Nakuru- World Heritage site
Breakfast and leave to Lake Nakuru National Park via Thomson's falls in Nyahururu in time for lunch or lunch in Nakuru. Lake Nakuru was recently delared a world heritage site by UNESCO. Afternoon game drives and bird watching around Lake Nakuru, seasonal home to millions of flamingoes and a multitude of other species. Dinner and overnight at Merica/ Bontana hotel or similar.
Day 8: Lake Nakuru- Maasai Mara
Today our safari expedition will take us to the jewel of Kenya’s
parks,
the world famous Masai Mara Game Reserve. This is Kenya’s number one park
and is always on every tourist’s “Must see list”. Full of life with
various types of animals and birds, Masai Mara crown’s the climax of every
safari in Kenya. Apart from the big five, the Masai Mara is most famous
for the spectacular annual migration of over a million wildebeest, zebra,
gazelle etc from the Serengeti in northern Tanzania crossing the Mara
River into Kenya in search of fresh feeding grounds, which takes place in
late July or August.
Your driver/guide will take you for an
afternoon game
drive in search of the shy and elusive leopard, the solitary and
ill-tempered Rhino, lions, buffalos, and many others. As the sun starts to
edge its way dip into the African horizon it will be the perfect
opportunity to capture the beautiful Mara landscape on a camera. Dinner& overnight at Mara Sopa lodge/ Simba lodge.
Day 9: Masai Mara Game Reserve
An early morning game drive before dawn, followed by breakfast, is the
perfect start of another unforgettable and memorable day in Africa. In
between the morning and afternoon game drives you can take time out to
swim in the pool or simply sit back, relax and enjoy the peaceful
atmosphere of the lodge and the natural flora and fauna surrounding it.
All meals and overnight at Mara Sopa lodge/ Simba lodge.
Day 10: Maasai Mara - Nairobi
Breakfast and after leave for Nairobi to arrive in time for your next
destination
